On-site Verification of 98 Revoked Permits
One Signboard Already Removed
Gwangsan District in Gwangju has launched a comprehensive inspection and maintenance campaign for privately installed roadside signboards to prepare for strong winds during the summer season.
On May 8, the district announced that it had conducted a thorough inspection of a total of 313 signboards to ensure pedestrian safety and improve the road environment.
During this inspection, the district immediately removed one signboard that required demolition and requested maintenance from the installers for five signboards that were aged or damaged. For 98 cases where occupancy permits had been revoked, the district checked on-site whether the signboards had been removed or the road had been restored to its original condition.
Additionally, for 42 cases where signboards were not present at the site, the district plans to take measures such as administrative cancellation through the relevant procedures.
