Renault Korea announced on the 8th that it began a full-scale push into overseas markets by shipping the Grand Koleos, its mid-size SUV, for export to Latin America on the 7th.

The Grand Koleos, which has completed export shipment, totals 894 units and is destined for the markets in Mexico and Colombia. Renault Korea plans to export the Grand Koleos to other major Latin American markets, including Brazil, Uruguay, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
In March, a portion of the Grand Koleos was also shipped in advance for export to the Middle East. Renault Korea plans to expand exports to Africa in the future.
Through its International Game Plan, Renault aims to launch eight new models by 2027 from five global hubs?Korea, India, Latin America, Turkey, and Morocco?and to target global markets outside of Europe.

A Renault Korea official said, "Since its domestic launch in September last year, the Grand Koleos has continued to receive positive reviews," adding, "With outstanding body safety and state-of-the-art convenience and safety features, it received the highest score and a top rating among all SUV models evaluated in the automotive safety assessment."
