30% Tuition Discount for Parents with Multiple Children
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will be accepting applications for regular education program participants at the Suji Lifelong Learning Center from May 13 to May 15.
The programs consist of a total of 68 courses, including: 12 in the cooking category such as 'Easy Baking,' 3 in the hair and beauty category such as 'Simple Haircut,' 8 in the technical and practical category such as 'Home & Fashion Accessories,' 3 in the information technology category such as 'Computer Basics,' 12 in the humanities and general education category such as 'Easy-to-Understand Real Estate Investment,' 14 in the culture and arts category such as 'Urban Sketching Everyday Life,' and 16 in the certification category such as 'Western Cuisine Cooking Technician.'
The total number of participants is 1,080, and the courses will run for 12 weeks from May 26 to August 29. Tuition fees range from 30,000 to 90,000 won, and material costs must be paid separately by the participants.
Participants will be selected by lottery. However, during the additional recruitment period, remaining spots in open courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For parents from families with two or more children, including at least one child under the age of 18, a 30% discount on tuition will be provided.
Anyone aged 19 or older who is a resident of Yongin, as well as employees of companies based in the city, overseas Koreans, and marriage immigrants, are eligible to apply. Those interested can apply online through the 'Yongin Lifelong Learning Center' website.
An official from the city stated, "We will continue to offer a variety of lifelong education programs so that citizens can expand their opportunities for self-development."
