Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on the 7th that the "Train Village Grand Exploration! Hi Fun Balloon Festival" Children's Day event, held over three days from the 4th to the 6th at Seomjingang Train Village, concluded successfully amid a variety of balloon-themed and engaging programs, with the enthusiastic participation of many children.

This year's Children's Day event was especially significant because, despite a continuous decline in the number of children and the fact that large-scale festivals were held in several neighboring regions, more than 30,000 visitors?exceeding 120% of Gokseong's population?flocked to the event. Considering that it rained from the afternoon of the 5th, it is assessed that the number of tourists who visited Gokseong far surpassed expectations.

At this balloon-themed festival, installations decorated with colorful balloons and various character balloons became popular photo zones. In particular, the Eiffel Tower in front of the central plaza, a symbol of Train Village, was decorated with a safari theme, featuring animal figures such as giraffes, lions, and monkeys, as well as hundreds of balloons hanging like leaves. This attracted a constant line of tourists waiting to take photos.

Street performances, including balloon shows, magic shows, and bubble shows, were held throughout the festival period, drawing enthusiastic responses and cheers from children. Children who received art balloons as gifts during the balloon show could not hide their delight.

On Children's Day, stage performances such as the musical "The Emperor's New Clothes" and Disney OST concerts stimulated the innocence and emotions of children. Hands-on experience programs?including face painting, balloon art, keyring and goods making, and a mini Squid Game?captured the interest of children, resulting in long lines as they eagerly waited their turn. Children's woodworking, pet bird handling, and a mobile observatory combined fun and education, providing meaningful experiences for the kids.

Additionally, children who participated in the specially prepared treasure hunt event had the opportunity to fully express their adventurous spirit as they searched for hidden treasures throughout Train Village.

A county official stated, "Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village will continue to faithfully serve as a joyful playground that nurtures the dreams and hopes of children," adding, "Many have evaluated this year's overall programs as excellent and well-suited to children's perspectives. Next year, we look forward to presenting an upgraded lineup compared to this year's event."
