Jung Junghoon Inaugurated as New President of KAMCO

Jung Junghoon (58), former Director General for Tax Policy at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, was inaugurated as the new president of Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) on May 7, 2025.
At his inauguration ceremony held that day at KAMCO Maru on the 3rd floor of the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC) headquarters, President Jung stated, "KAMCO must prioritize the people as its highest value in all its operations, including supporting the recovery of vulnerable groups, assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in their resurgence, and enhancing public convenience through the utilization of public assets. The corporation should become the most reliable and trusted institution for the public."
He further emphasized, "We will lead the future through relentless innovation and build a unified KAMCO based on communication and trust."
President Jung began his public service career by passing the 37th Higher Civil Service Examination. He has served as Director General for Income and Corporate Tax Policy, Director General for Tax Policy Coordination, and Director General for Tax Policy at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He is recognized for his extensive experience in implementing economic policies and his expertise in tax policy.
