Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Woo Seunghee) held the "2025 Yeongam County Public Official Policy Development Workshop" in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, from April 30 to May 2, 2025.
According to the county on May 7, the workshop was held at the Yeongdeungpo-dong Public Complex Center to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the sisterhood relationship with Yeongdeungpo District. A total of 25 public officials from Yeongam County participated in the event.

The participants presented policy ideas in five areas: county administration promotion, tourism festivals, agricultural product marketing, exchange revitalization, and expansion of the resident population. They also discussed issues facing the 11 towns and townships (eup and myeon) of Yeongam County.
The workshop included sessions to learn about advanced policies in Yeongdeungpo District, such as the "Mullae-dong Flower Garden" and the "Yeongdeungpo-dong Public Complex Center." The Mullae-dong Flower Garden is a case where a public site previously used as a materials warehouse was transformed into a community rest area. The Yeongdeungpo-dong Public Complex Center is an example of combining a national and public daycare center, a community center, and a comprehensive social welfare center into a space that provides customized services for all generations.
Kim Youngjung, Director of Planning and Budget, stated, "This policy development workshop has served as an opportunity to enhance field-oriented policy execution capabilities, going beyond simple education. We will continue to strengthen Yeongam County's competitiveness by discovering creative policies for county administration innovation."
