"Shinhan Kkumdodamteo" is a social contribution initiative by Shinhan Financial Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the ChildFund Korea. The program supports after-school care activities for children from dual-income families. From 2018 through last year, a total of 22 billion KRW was invested to establish 213 centers nationwide.
This year, applications for the first half of the year will be accepted from today until the end of May. Approximately 10 centers will be selected nationwide for each half of the year, and multiple applications are allowed per city, county, or district.
Selected organizations will receive support for space interiors and equipment tailored to the users' ages, as well as assistance in operating specialized programs such as creative art education, career experience education, sensory play, and financial education. The selection will be divided between newly established centers utilizing idle local government facilities and remodeled existing shared childcare centers.
A representative from Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation stated, "We will continue to actively invest in and support a variety of social contribution activities that can provide practical help for the healthy growth of children and the reduction of childcare burdens for parents."
