Toss Teens Surpasses 3 Million Subscribers, Gaining Popularity Among Middle and High School Students

Achievement Reached in Just 3 Years and 9 Months Since Launch

Toss Teens is a financial service exclusively for those aged 7 to 18. It was designed to address the unique financial inconveniences that teenagers experience during remittance, payment, transportation, and shopping.

The service has received positive feedback from parents, as it emphasizes that children can develop sound financial habits through various features offered by Teens.

The "Youth Card," a prepaid card exclusively for children and teenagers, is one of the flagship services of Teens, helping users develop independent financial habits.

The Youth Card is the first card issued in the teenager's own name, rather than being a parent's card, often referred to as "Eomka" (mom's card). Since its launch in December 2021, a total of 3.2 million cards have been issued to date.

The "Money Study Cafe" and "Simulated Stock Investment" services offered by Teens are also well recognized among parents.

Money Study Cafe, which provides financial education content specifically for teenagers, has enhanced its expertise and reliability since January last year by collaborating with the Financial Supervisory Service's e-Financial Education Center.

The Simulated Stock Investment service allows teenagers to experience domestic and international stock investments using virtual money while checking real-time market prices. The cumulative number of users has reached approximately 760,000.

Methods such as piggy banks and allowance ledgers, which have long been used to help children develop planned spending habits, have also been reimagined within Teens.

By using the piggy bank feature, which is used by an average of 630,000 users per month, children can set their own savings goals, and parents and children can set joint goals such as trips or gifts, fostering shared understanding through saving together.

Important information for school life, such as meal menus and timetables, can also be accessed through Teens.

A Toss representative stated, "We feel great pride and responsibility in the fact that 3 million teenagers in Korea are starting their first financial experiences through Toss Teens," adding, "We will continue to provide high-quality content so that they can maintain independent financial lives even in more complex financial environments as adults."
