Participation in PCIM Europe, Germany
Emphasizing Synergy with Momentive
On May 7, KCC announced that it is participating in 'PCIM Europe 2025,' the world's largest power electronics exhibition.
PCIM Europe is an international event that connects academic and industry experts engaged in research, development, and product innovation across the entire value chain of power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. The exhibition is being held in Nuremberg, Germany, until May 8.
At this exhibition, KCC showcased key materials such as ceramic substrates, EMC, and thermal management silicone, which are suitable for high-power semiconductor packages and modules for electric vehicles and industrial applications. Momentive, a KCC subsidiary and one of the world's top three silicone material companies, also participated to maximize technological synergy.
The two companies are solidifying their position as a total solution provider for semiconductor packages by integrating ceramic substrates, EMC materials, and silicone materials applicable to high-power semiconductors and power modules.
KCC introduced its flagship AMB ceramic substrate, which enhances the bonding strength between copper circuits and ceramics to deliver performance optimized for high-power semiconductors. In addition to the AMB ceramic substrate, a variety of products were presented, including DCB substrates suitable for industrial power modules and EMC, which is seeing increased demand due to the advancement of power semiconductors.
Momentive showcased high-performance silicone products, focusing on silicone gel for power modules, which can be applied across the power semiconductor and e-mobility industries.
KCC plans to actively respond to the growing demand for advanced materials in the semiconductor industry by officially introducing its integrated total solution?combining KCC's semiconductor materials and Momentive's silicone technology?on the global stage.
A KCC representative stated, "Through this exhibition, we will further solidify our position in the global materials market and strengthen our vision as a unique total solution provider that combines silicone and semiconductor materials."
