Job Training, Employment Preparation, and Internship Programs
Closing the Employment Gap for People with Disabilities Through Three-Stage Support
Hana Financial Group announced on May 7 that it will implement an employment training and job placement support program aimed at enhancing the job expertise and fostering the healthy independence of individuals with developmental and hearing disabilities.
This initiative is designed to help create stable jobs for people with developmental and hearing disabilities, who are often excluded from employment opportunities, by providing step-by-step support such as customized job training, employment preparation education, and recruitment-linked internship programs. Hana Financial Group will recruit participants through its website until May 20, and after screening by job category, will select 40 trainees with developmental disabilities and 20 trainees with hearing disabilities.
The 'customized job training' program will be conducted over four months in collaboration with workplaces and partner organizations that have employment plans, offering hands-on, job-specific programs that can be applied in real-world settings. It will also support trainees in obtaining job-related certifications. For individuals with developmental disabilities, a total of seven job training courses will be offered: patissier, designer, wheel master, coffee grounds recycling, steam car wash, smart farm, and soap making. For individuals with hearing disabilities, two programs will be provided: computer office work and barista.
Additionally, the 'employment preparation education' program consists of basic competency training required for actual employment, such as resume writing, mock interviews, and profile photo shoots, as well as workplace etiquette education and other basic training to improve social skills.
Outstanding graduates among the trainees who participate in the job and employment training will be given the opportunity to gain real-world work experience through a three-month internship program at private companies, social enterprises, nonprofit organizations, and welfare centers for people with disabilities. Hana Financial Group will provide full support for both human and material resources to the interns during the internship period, and will actively work to ensure that the internship leads to employment after completion.
An official from the ESG Win-Win Finance Team at Hana Financial Group stated, "We hope that this program will help close the employment gap for individuals with developmental and hearing disabilities and lay the foundation for their economic independence," adding, "Hana Financial Group will continue to provide sincere support to create a happy society where people with and without disabilities come together as one."
Meanwhile, in addition to this recruitment-linked employment training for individuals with developmental and hearing disabilities, Hana Financial Group continues to provide comprehensive, customized support throughout the life cycle of people with disabilities, including the provision of rehabilitation and learning aids for the healthy growth of children and youth with disabilities, improvement of residential environments, and support for eco-friendly vehicles.
