Han Donghoon: "We Are Showing the Public an Embarrassing Side"
Ahn Cheolsoo: "Does Han Have the Will to Stop Lee Jaemyung?"
Hong Joonpyo Remains Out of Sight After Retirement... Departure for the United States Soon
As Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, and former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo continue their war of nerves over a potential unification, the three former candidates who made it to the party's final four?Han Donghoon, Ahn Cheolsoo, and Hong Joonpyo?are taking divergent paths.
On the night of May 5, former People Power Party leader Han Donghoon said during a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, "There is a lot of talk right now about the presidential candidate. What surprises me more is people acting as if they never expected things to turn out this way."

He added, "Did they really think it would be enough just to block me, without realizing this would be the result? If this was the situation, then this outcome was inevitable. I feel bad because I think we are showing the public an embarrassing side."
Han Donghoon was eliminated after facing Kim Moonsoo in the final round of the party's primary. It is known that he has postponed his response to the party's request for him to join the election campaign committee, saying he would 'think about it for a while.'
Instead, on the previous day, Han Donghoon posted on his Facebook account, "'Party membership'?we will not abandon the party," encouraging people to join the party as members.
This move has led to speculation both inside and outside the party that Han Donghoon may be considering a bid for party leadership after the presidential election.
Ahn Cheolsoo is the only one among the final four candidates to have joined the joint election campaign committee leadership.
On the same day, he criticized Han Donghoon on Facebook, asking, "What are you doing for the party right now? Do you have the will to stop Lee Jaemyung together with our party?"
He continued, "I wonder if you are aiming for party leadership, keeping the party convention in mind after a possible presidential defeat. I sincerely urge you to join the campaign committee and participate in the cause of stopping Lee Jaemyung."
After being eliminated from the primary, former Daegu Mayor Hong Joonpyo, who declared his retirement from politics, has remained out of the public eye. It is reported that he plans to leave for the United States around May 10.
On the previous day, Hong Joonpyo wrote on Facebook, "I did not leave the party because I abandoned it, but because the party abandoned me. With a sense of relief, I want to wrap up the second act of my life."
On the same day, former National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyungoh wrote on his blog, "Of the four who made it to the final, two are withholding their support and one is attaching conditions. This must be resolved first for the candidate's support to increase."
