Bonghwa County Holds Public Hearing on Long-Term Development Plan for "2035 County Management Plan Revision"

Gathering Residents' Opinions for the Realization of a Sustainable Future City

Bonghwa County in Gyeongbuk held a public hearing on the long-term development plan (draft) for the establishment of the "2035 Bonghwa County Management Plan (Revision)" at the Youth Center.

At the public hearing held on May 2, approximately 100 participants, including county officials and local residents, attended to hear explanations about Bonghwa County's future vision, development direction, and key indicators, and to share a variety of opinions.


The county gathered diverse perspectives from urban planning experts and residents through this public hearing to enhance the completeness of the long-term development plan and to establish effective development strategies.


The public hearing focused on proposals such as regional specialization strategies utilizing superior forest resources, improvement of residential environments, measures to address population aging, and infrastructure maintenance. Urban planning experts drew attention from residents by presenting tailored development directions that took into account Bonghwa's geographical characteristics and population structure.


A Bonghwa County official stated, "This public hearing is an important process for envisioning the future of Bonghwa together with the residents," and added, "We will carefully review the collected opinions and actively reflect them in the plan."


Meanwhile, Bonghwa County plans to analyze and review the opinions presented at the public hearing, finalize the county management plan (revision) (draft), and then proceed with public inspection and announcement for residents, seek opinions from the county council, consult with relevant agencies, and undergo advice and deliberation by the county planning committee before submitting the decision to Gyeongsangbuk-do.
