Magnitude 2.2 Earthquake Occurs in the Sea Southeast of Samcheok, Gangwon

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that at 4:10:39 PM on May 3, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.2 occurred in the sea 33 km southeast of Samcheok City, Gangwon Province.

The epicenter was located at 37.35 degrees north latitude and 129.52 degrees east longitude, with the earthquake occurring at a depth of 12 km.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "There will be no earthquake damage."
