Ulsan Institute of Health and Environment Research Finds Raw Milk Residue Testing 'Safe'

All 14 Raw Milk Samples Test 'Non-Detect' in 98 Detailed Examinations

The Ulsan Institute of Health and Environment Research announced that all raw milk (used as a dairy product ingredient) supplied to milk collection centers in the region passed residue testing and was found to be 'compliant.'

The milk collection center, located in Samnam-eup, Ulju-gun, collects raw milk produced daily by farms throughout the Ulsan area. The center conducts regular quality monitoring through in-house inspections, including bacterial counts and somatic cell counts.

Accordingly, on April 11, the institute collected 14 samples of delivered raw milk and conducted a total of 98 detailed quantitative tests for 71 substances, including antibiotics, antimicrobials, anti-inflammatory agents, anthelmintics, and pesticides. All tests returned 'non-detect' results.

An official from the Institute stated, "We will make even greater efforts to ensure the safety of raw milk so that consumers can enjoy locally produced dairy products with peace of mind."
