Nationwide Expansion of Rainfall from Afternoon into Night
On May 1, Labor Day, most regions nationwide are expected to be mostly cloudy with rain.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on April 30, rain will begin in the morning of May 1 in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, Gyeongnam region, and Jeju Island. The rain is expected to expand nationwide from the afternoon into the night.

The expected precipitation amounts are as follows: northwestern Gyeonggi 20 to 60 mm; Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi (excluding the northwest), the five West Sea islands, coastal and eastern inland Jeonnam, western coastal Jeonbuk, Busan, southern coastal and southwestern inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island 10 to 50 mm; inland and mountainous Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, inland Jeonnam (excluding eastern inland), inland Jeonbuk, inland Ulsan and Gyeongnam (excluding southwestern inland), Gyeongbuk (excluding central-southern inland and east coast), Ulleungdo, and Dokdo 10 to 40 mm.
Morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 5 to 17 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs are expected to be between 16 and 25 degrees Celsius. Fine dust concentrations are expected to be at 'good' to 'normal' levels across all regions.
Wave heights are forecast at 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. In the offshore areas (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East and West Seas, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
