Han made these remarks at the 'On-site Communication Meeting for Regulatory Innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises' held at the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido, Seoul at 2 p.m. on this day. Hosted by the Korea Federation of SMEs, the meeting was attended by over 60 SME representatives, Minister of SMEs and Startups Oh Youngju, Second Deputy Chief of the Office for Government Policy Coordination Nam Hyungki, and other government officials.
During the meeting, Han listened to a variety of management difficulties and regulatory improvement proposals from SME representatives.
The Office for Government Policy Coordination stated, "We will thoroughly review the issues raised on-site and actively pursue improvements to relevant systems and legal frameworks," and added, "We plan to continue communicating with SMEs in the future and will strive to create an environment where businesses can invest and grow freely."
Meanwhile, Han is widely expected to resign from public office at 1 p.m. on May 1 to run in the presidential election, and to announce his candidacy the following day, May 2.
