Theborn Korea Issues Official Statement: "Rumors of 7 Billion KRW Special Favors from Gunsan City Are Unfounded"

"Request for Cooperation Citing the Successful Case of the Food Service Industry Development Center"
"Compliance with Laws and Administrative Procedures Without Special Favors"

Theborn Korea, led by Baek Jongwon, has directly addressed rumors related to its regional development projects.

On April 30, Theborn Korea released an official statement, saying, "Recently, numerous articles have been published regarding Theborn Korea's regional development projects, such as the production of YouTube videos for the Inje-gun festival, the establishment of the Gunsan Food Service Industry Development Center, and sales generated from local festivals. Some media outlets have published reports that are not based on facts or have used expressions and phrases that could cause misunderstandings. We would like to clarify the facts."

Theborn Korea Issues Official Statement: "Rumors of 7 Billion KRW Special Favors from Gunsan City Are Unfounded" Baek Jongwon, CEO of Theborn Korea, attending and giving a presentation at the corporate briefing session.

Theborn Korea emphasized that media reports claiming Inje-gun paid 550 million KRW for the production of two festival videos are completely unfounded. The company explained, "Of the actual contract budget of 500 million KRW, 150 million KRW was used for producing and promoting two YouTube videos. The remaining 350 million KRW was allocated for facility setup (festival booth and equipment installation, refrigerator/freezer, kiosk rental), space design (venue production costs), general expenses (training, accommodation, meal expenses, food logistics, etc.), and menu consulting, covering the overall festival operations."

Regarding the Gunsan Food Service Industry Development Center, the company clarified that some media outlets have used expressions such as 'customized,' 'benefit,' and 'all-in,' reporting as if Gunsan City invested 7 billion KRW to provide special favors to Theborn Korea. The company stated that these reports are not true.

The company added, "Gunsan City requested cooperation by referencing our successful case of the Food Service Industry Development Center, which was funded by our own budget. In this process, we have strictly complied with all laws and administrative procedures without any special favors or exceptions, and we are faithfully carrying out the project."
