On April 29, Air Busan held a 'Yeongnam Region Wildfire Damage Special Donation' presentation ceremony at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Busan, with CEO Jung Byungseop, Busan Community Chest of Korea Chairman Lee Sutae, and other officials in attendance.
This donation will be used to support wildfire victims, including emergency living expenses, temporary housing costs, and housing restoration expenses, to help them return to their daily lives as quickly as possible.
Since its founding, Air Busan has consistently engaged in donation activities for the local community. Since 2012, the company has run the in-flight fundraising campaign 'Collecting Coins of Love,' combining the collected funds with company contributions to provide donations to neighbors in need within the region.
Additionally, Air Busan continues to support those in need through various initiatives, including payroll rounding donations, in-house bazaar proceeds donations, and donations to local welfare organizations.
Jung Byungseop, CEO of Air Busan, said, "I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the victims affected by the recent large-scale wildfires," adding, "We hope for a swift recovery of daily life, and as an airline that stands with the local community, Air Busan will continue to fulfill its necessary roles and responsibilities."
