Pursuing Mixed-Use Development and Redevelopment Projects Including Zone 1
On April 29, HDC Hyundai Development Company announced that it has set securing fundamental competitiveness as a construction company as its core management policy for this year. The company has set its annual sales target at 4.3 trillion won, and its new order target at approximately 4.6 trillion won. HDC Hyundai Development Company aims to become a future-leading enterprise by strengthening technological competitiveness, expanding new businesses, and innovating organizational culture.
To strengthen its fundamental competitiveness, HDC Hyundai Development Company is focusing on building a solid foundation. Last year, the company maintained an upward trend, recording sales of 4.2114 trillion won. It received an 'A' credit rating from the three major domestic credit rating agencies, which was stably upgraded. This year, the company presented a sales guidance of 4.3059 trillion won.
HDC Hyundai Development Company plans to supply approximately 10,000 housing units this year. As large-scale complex development projects such as the Cheonan I-Park City project with 6,000 units, Seoulone I-Park, and the Paju Medical Cluster become fully underway, stable performance growth is expected.
The core project is the Seoulone Project. Seoulone is a future-oriented integrated town that combines residential facilities for 3,000 households, premium wellness residences, a shopping mall and street mall, prime offices, and a global lifestyle hotel. This year, the company plans to begin construction of the Seoulone mixed-use commercial facility and introduce a differentiated residential model, the premium wellness residence. By providing products and services that align with changing demographic structures and contemporary trends, the company aims to realize sustainable urban management.
The new order target for this year is set at 4.6981 trillion won. The company plans to actively pursue urban complex developments, proprietary projects, and urban redevelopment projects focused on major cities. In the first quarter, it secured reconstruction of the Wonju Dangye Jugong complex (worth 436.9 billion won) and redevelopment of the Gwang-an 4 district (worth 419.6 billion won), resulting in a total of 856.5 billion won in urban redevelopment orders. Large-scale redevelopment projects such as the Yongsan Maintenance Depot Zone 1 are also being pursued, and the company expects to achieve not only its urban redevelopment targets but also the overall guidance set for this year.
To establish a system for strengthening technological competitiveness and promoting new businesses, the company also carried out a major organizational restructuring. The existing Construction Division was reorganized into the Architecture Division, and new Technology Team and Infrastructure Division were established. Additionally, Technology Safety Team and Quality Team were newly formed within the CSO organization. Through this restructuring, the company plans to enhance organic collaboration and horizontal communication between the Architecture/Infrastructure Division and the Development Division. By building a project-oriented organizational culture, it will optimize work processes through to completion, and maximize the capabilities of each employee through a fair evaluation system.
A representative from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "Through Seoulone I-Park, we will further strengthen our capabilities as a developer by providing differentiated spaces such as premium wellness residences, indoor malls, and street malls," adding, "We will focus on securing fundamental competitiveness for sustainable growth, and will leap forward as a future-leading company by strengthening technological competitiveness in construction, innovating our organization, and expanding new businesses."
