Gwangju Seo District Holds Special Lecture on Manifesto Implementation for Public Officials

Special Lecture by Kwangjae Lee, Secretary General of the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters,
Held to Strengthen Systematic Management of the 8th Administration’s Pledge Projects

Seo District of Gwangju (headed by District Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on April 29 that it held a special Manifesto lecture at Deulbul Hall in the district office to ensure the systematic management and successful implementation of the 8th popularly elected administration’s pledge projects.

On this day, the district invited Kwangjae Lee, Secretary General of the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, to give a special lecture attended by about 50 people, including team leaders and staff in charge of pledge projects from each department. The purpose of this special lecture was to more effectively manage the pledge projects, which are promises made to residents, and to strengthen the capacity for their implementation.


Secretary General Lee delivered a lecture under the theme "Beyond Division and Hatred, Toward a Future City," emphasizing that communication with residents is essential to solving various issues such as the climate crisis and social inequality.


Deputy District Mayor Baek Namin stated, "I hope this special lecture will serve as an opportunity to ensure the smooth progress of the 8th administration’s pledge projects and to enhance the practical capabilities of those in charge," adding, "We will continue to actively reflect residents' opinions and faithfully keep our promises through field-oriented communication, maintaining trustworthy administration."
