On April 29, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it is recruiting small business owners to participate in the 'Export Consulting Support Program for Small Businesses,' which provides expert consulting services to small business owners facing difficulties in entering overseas markets.

The Export Consulting Support Program for Small Businesses is a project that offers professional consulting to small business owners seeking to enter overseas markets, providing necessary export strategies and strengthening their export capabilities.

This year, in response to the difficulties faced by small business owners due to the Trump administration's tariff increases in the United States, the program will also provide vouchers to support the implementation of tasks identified through consulting. These vouchers will be funded by KB Financial Group, taking into account the challenges faced by small business exporters.

First, for export consulting, up to 10 consulting sessions will be provided by matching 400 small business exporters with export specialists. As for the export vouchers, 100 companies that have already received consulting and are experiencing difficulties due to U.S. tariff measures will be separately selected. These companies will receive additional support in the form of vouchers for services necessary to respond to tariffs, such as securing supply chains in alternative export markets and responding to local tariff disputes.

The export consulting program is available to small business owners with export experience. Applications can be submitted on the Small Business 24 website starting April 30.

Lee Daegun, Director of Small Business Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "We will continue to expand relevant policies so that small business owners can grow into enterprises through exports."
