Food Hygiene Training for Business Owners Conducted
Naju City in South Jeolla Province conducted training for local restaurants to improve hygiene and customer service, aiming to provide safe food.
On April 28, Naju City held a 'Food Hygiene Education' session at the Naju Culture and Arts Center for approximately 150 general restaurant owners to enhance food safety and hygiene standards.
This training was organized by the Naju branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association and is a mandatory legal education that must be completed for three hours each year under the Food Sanitation Act.
The training covered topics essential for business owners, including food poisoning prevention and hygiene management, agricultural product origin labeling laws, customer service in the food service industry, tax and labor management, and methods for checking hygiene conditions.
Business owners who were unable to attend this group training must complete it through the websites of either the Korea Foodservice Industry Association or the Korea Foodservice Industry Association by December 31. Failure to complete the food hygiene education will result in a fine of 200,000 won for the first offense.
Yoon Byungtae, Mayor of Naju, said, "I ask for your active cooperation in making Naju a place people want to visit again by providing safe food and offering friendly service that wins the hearts of customers through this training."
