Hampyeong Butterfly Festival Draws Attention with "Butterfly Fantasia Parade Show"

Jeonnam Hampyeong County announced on the 28th that it is gaining popularity by presenting a unique butterfly fantasia parade show exclusive to Hampyeong at the 27th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival.

This year, as in the previous year, the Butterfly Fantasia Parade Show was planned and directed by Professor Moon Bokju of the Department of Performing Arts at Songwon University. The Butterfly Fantasia Parade Show features the Butterfly Goddess, Butterfly Fairy, and mascots such as Hwangbaki and Ppombi, who, wearing butterfly and golden bat character costumes, dance to the rhythm of music and march with tourists from the Butterfly Gate Square to the Central Square.

At the Central Square, butterfly characters, the Butterfly Goddess, the Butterfly Fairy, Mirrorman, Gentleman, Ladies, and Energeticman each perform in sequence for about 30 minutes, delivering a spectacular show. Afterwards, they hold a photo session with the audience, further enhancing the festive atmosphere. The parade show will continue until May 6.

Governor Lee Sangik stated, "Among the various programs at the 27th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, the Butterfly Fantasia Parade Show is especially drawing significant attention," and added, "I hope you will visit during the festival period and enjoy the diverse festival content, including the Butterfly Fantasia Parade Show."
