The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 28th that, as a result of a joint crackdown conducted on the 25th in collaboration with local governments and the fire department in drug-vulnerable areas such as Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu, Seoul, a plastic bag believed to contain a suspicious substance was found in a restroom trash can at a club.
The police sent the plastic bag to the National Forensic Service for detailed analysis. No separate cases of drug use were detected.
A police official stated, "Since it has become possible to impose administrative measures such as business suspension on business owners who provide venues for drug crimes or aid in distribution and use, we will continue to carry out strong enforcement activities."
