Implementing the '2025 Management Policy'
Lotte Construction Launches Company-wide 'Professional Campaign'
Aiming to Foster a Creative and Efficient Work Culture
On April 28, Lotte Construction announced that it is implementing the company-wide 'Professional Campaign' as part of the 'New Spirit' section of its '2025 Management Policy' announced earlier this year.
This campaign was designed not simply to encourage longer working hours, but to create more flexible and efficient ways of working. The goal is to foster a culture of tolerance and consideration for problems or failures that arise during work, thereby enhancing creativity and efficiency.
Lotte Construction has posted campaign posters on the company intranet, as well as in all departments and on all sites. The intention is to establish these values as the first thing employees think of when working. A Lotte Construction representative stated, "We will not stop at simply changing how we work, but will innovate the entire corporate culture," and added, "We aim to build a culture of working professionally, fearlessly, and with meticulous thoroughness."
This campaign also communicates the management philosophy that Vice Chairman Park Hyuncheol has consistently emphasized, through a total of four posters. The message is that creativity can only thrive when moving away from a culture where superiors give unilateral instructions. The content underscores the importance of creative thinking to harness ideas from various levels within the company.
The posters specifically outline three ways to work professionally, seven methods for working professionally, six ways to deal with failures and problems, and ten characteristics of an authoritarian leader.
Through this campaign, Lotte Construction plans to help employees easily understand the principles they should follow at work, and to encourage active communication for sharing problems and finding solutions. For those in managerial positions, the campaign is designed to prompt self-reflection and necessary behavioral changes.
Joo Youngsoo, Head of Human Resources at Lotte Construction (Executive Director), said, "Through this campaign, we expect all employees to transform the way they work, and for leaders in particular to further strengthen their sense of responsibility and their commitment to leading by example."
Lotte Construction plans to continue efforts to internalize the 'LOTTE E&C WAY' as a behavioral norm through various campaigns in the future.
