DL E&C: "Accelerating bids for redevelopment projects such as Hannam 5 District and Apgujeong"
The consortium of DL E&C and Hyundai Engineering & Construction has been finally selected as the contractor for the Jangwi 9 District Public Redevelopment Project in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
On April 28, DL E&C announced that, together with Hyundai Engineering & Construction, it had secured the contract for the Jangwi 9 District Public Redevelopment Project, which is valued at approximately 870 billion won. The share ratio between the two companies is 60% for DL E&C and 40% for Hyundai Engineering & Construction.
The Jangwi 9 District project is a large-scale development that will create a total of 2,270 apartment units and related welfare facilities in the area of 238-83 Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu. The two companies won the construction rights as the sole bidder at the residents' general meeting held on April 26.
Jangwi 9 District boasts a pleasant natural environment, being adjacent to the Ui Stream, Jungnang Stream, and Northern Seoul Dream Forest. It also offers excellent transportation accessibility, with the Naebu Expressway and Subway Line 6 nearby. In particular, further transportation benefits are expected in the future with the planned opening of the GTX-C line and the Dongbuk Line. Additionally, the site will benefit from the development of Jangwi New Town, which will comprise 13,000 households, and the mixed-use development of the Gwangwoon University Station area.
For this project, DL E&C and Hyundai Engineering & Construction have proposed the name 'Bukseoul Centermark' for the complex. The name reflects their intention to establish a regional landmark that embraces nature and leads future growth.
'Bukseoul Centermark' will feature a modern pattern design that reflects the order and balance of the city, with a three-dimensional exterior that harmonizes with the overall landscape of Jangwi New Town. Approximately 74.5% of the total units will be arranged in a four-bay structure to enhance residential satisfaction. The project will also provide a differentiated living environment by including a 1.5-kilometer-long walking trail within the complex, 26 specialized community facilities, a noise reduction system, and a smart construction management solution.
A DL E&C representative stated, "We will create a landmark complex that leads the new future value of Jangwi New Town," adding, "We will also actively pursue the upcoming contract for Hannam 5 District next month and continue to strengthen our bidding activities in major redevelopment areas such as Apgujeong, Seongsu, and Yeouido."
