Starting April 29, Gyeonggi Province will launch a 24-hour child care service for children aged 12 and under through the 'Always Care Platform' (www.gg.go.kr/always360).
The child care service is a flagship project of Gyeonggi Province, allowing families in need of emergency care to entrust their children at any time and place, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with complete peace of mind.
Residents of Gyeonggi Province who need child care services can sign up as members on the Always Care Platform and apply for the service. The platform also provides pre-registration for children, guidance on application procedures, a map and information on child care facilities, and comprehensive, customized information on care from childbirth onward. In addition, the service is linked to the existing Hotline Call Center (010-9979-7722) and an integrated care service management system, making it even more convenient to use.
The care services available through the platform include: ▲Elementary Facility-Based Emergency Care (a service that connects children aged 6 to 12 in need of care to nearby child care facilities such as Together Care Centers and local child centers for evening, weekend, and holiday care); ▲Always Daycare Center (a service that allows parents or guardians of infants and young children from 6 months to 7 years old to entrust their children at any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in case of temporary or emergency situations); and ▲Home-Visit Emergency Care (a home-visit child care service for children from 3 months to 12 years old).
Gyeonggi Province expects that by establishing a one-stop system for handling care service tasks?from providing information on child care facilities to service application and post-service management?it will improve convenience and satisfaction for residents.
Additionally, by linking the service provider and care worker management monitoring system and digitizing previously paper-based documents, the province anticipates increased efficiency in administrative processing.
Yoon Youngmi, Director of the Women and Family Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will manage the Always Care Platform so that it becomes the core of Gyeonggi Province's representative child care project and operates stably," adding, "We will continue our efforts to enhance convenience for residents, reduce the burden of care on caregivers, create a better environment for raising children, and improve quality of life."
