Korea Tourism Organization Hosts K-Tourism Roadshow in US, Aiming for Record-High American Visitors Again This Year The Korea Tourism Organization held the 'K-Tourism Roadshow' on the 25th (local time) at the Cipriani Event Hall in New York, with about 300 key tourism industry officials from both domestic and international sectors in attendance. The event featured various activities including presentations on Korean tourism, talk shows, and award ceremonies.

The United States is the fourth largest source of tourists visiting Korea, following China, Japan, and Taiwan. Last year, the number of American visitors to Korea reached a record high of 1.3 million, up 21.5% from the previous year. To maintain this growing trend in American tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization organized this event.

The K-Tourism Roadshow, held in New York on April 25, brought together more than 300 participants, including representatives from the global travel platform TripAdvisor and specialized travel agencies from various fields. Under the theme "Discover Korea's Hidden Charms," the event focused on showcasing tourist destinations in lesser-known regions of Korea.

At a separate event held in the morning, 19 organizations?including domestic airlines, travel agencies, and local governments?participated and conducted about 240 promotional consultations with local American travel agencies.

The Korea Tourism Organization also presented the Korea Tourism Awards to Student Universe, a travel agency specializing in educational trips, and Sky Vacations, which developed K-vegan travel products for vegetarians, in recognition of their contributions to developing Korea-bound travel packages.

Seo Youngchung, Acting President of the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "We are focusing on developing premium tourism products tailored to the needs of the American travel industry." He added, "We will implement tourism marketing strategies targeting art enthusiasts through K-art tours, as well as vegan and classical music performance groups, and achieve tangible results."

The Korea Tourism Organization will also hold a K-Tourism Roadshow in Denver on April 28.
