On April 27, Jeollanam-do held the '2025 First Half Foreign Resident Provincial Administration Monitoring Group Communication Meeting' at the Jeonnam Immigration and Foreign Residents Comprehensive Support Center. The event aimed to discuss effective support policies for foreigners by expanding the monitoring group's participation in policymaking and gathering on-site feedback.

The meeting was attended by members of the 5th Provincial Administration Monitoring Group and officials from the Jeonnam Immigration and Foreign Residents Comprehensive Support Center. The agenda included sharing the results of the previous meeting, introducing major support initiatives, discussing the future direction of the monitoring group's activities, and collecting free-form policy-related opinions.

In particular, participants shared information on childcare fee support projects for foreign children and the status of interpretation and administrative consultation services provided by the Jeonnam Immigration and Foreign Residents Comprehensive Support Center.

Jeollanam-do plans to expand the role of the monitoring group from simple advisory functions to more proactive activities, such as on-site policy exploration. The province also intends to actively incorporate the opinions presented at this meeting into future policy implementation.

An official from Jeollanam-do stated, "We will continue to pursue effective policies so that foreign residents of various nationalities can settle stably and harmoniously integrate into the local community."

The 5th Foreign Resident Provincial Administration Monitoring Group consists of 30 members from nine countries: Nepal, Cambodia, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand, and Kazakhstan. They will serve for two years, until June 2026.
