The preliminary presidential primary candidates of the People Power Party drew attention on the 26th by each emphasizing unity after engaging in heated exchanges during the four-way debate held on MBN. However, they revealed complex feelings regarding the issue of unifying with Han Ducksoo, the acting president and prime minister.

Han Donghoon, former leader of the People Power Party, commented after the debate, "Everyone here is outstanding, and I learned a lot during the discussion." He added, "I am the candidate who can defeat Lee Jaemyung, the former leader of the Democratic Party. I hope our party will stop internal strife and allow me to face him directly."

Kim Moonsu, former Minister of Employment and Labor, shared his thoughts, saying, "I will continue to study and work hard to ensure that we defeat candidate Lee Jaemyung." Regarding Han Donghoon's five-megapolis pledge, he remarked, "Based on my experience, I don't think it's feasible." On the possibility of unification with Han Ducksoo, he stated, "My desire for our party to win and save the Republic of Korea has remained unchanged, both before and after my candidacy. If there is anyone outstanding, we must join hands and move forward together."

Hong Joonpyo, former mayor of Seoul, questioned the change in stance on unification with Han Ducksoo, saying, "I became a candidate after going through the preliminaries and semifinals, and now they're asking me to compete in another primary with someone coming from outside. Where in the world is such an exhibition match?" He continued, "However, as party members and the public demand it, and since it seems to be the only way to defeat Lee Jaemyung, I thought there was no other option."

Ahn Cheolsoo, a member of the People Power Party, expressed confidence after the debate, saying, "I am certain I will make it to the final two." He also focused on clarifying suspicions raised during the debate regarding cryptocurrency issues.

The People Power Party will hold the second round of the presidential primary vote over two days, April 27 and 28. On April 27, voting will be conducted via mobile from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and for those who do not participate in mobile voting, ARS voting will be available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 28. The results of the primary are scheduled to be announced on April 29. If none of the four candidates receives a majority, the top two will compete in a final round, and the party's candidate will be confirmed on May 3.
