The students visited Yeongcheon National Cemetery to pay tribute to the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes, reflecting on the values of sacrifice and loyalty for the nation. At the Korea Army Academy at Yeongcheon, they toured the officer training process, the history museum, and major educational facilities, gaining an understanding of the military's role at the forefront of national security and broadening their perspectives on future career paths.
Additionally, they visited Imgoseowon, which enshrines the memorial tablet of Jeong Mongju, a loyal retainer of the late Goryeo Dynasty, where they experienced the spirit of unwavering loyalty and participated in character education activities.
Chairman Park Donggil stated, "This security field experience provided a valuable opportunity for youth to directly feel the importance of defending the nation and the preciousness of freedom and peace." He added, "Instilling a proper sense of security in the younger generation is extremely important, so we plan to expand field-oriented programs in the future, including visits to Sancheong National Cemetery and the Naval Academy."
This program offered youth opportunities to learn, feel, and reflect through hands-on experiences, contributing to the spread of security awareness in the local community and the enhancement of public values.
