"Construction Safety and Quality Sherpa" Training Held for Immediate Field Application

The Korea Infrastructure Safety and Technology Corporation announced on April 25 that it had signed a business agreement in Changwon, Gyeongnam, with 18 local chapters of the Architectural Society in the province to strengthen safety at construction sites.

Through this agreement, both parties will promote initiatives such as technical support for construction safety management, safety consulting and advisory services, and the exchange of information and technology. Around 50 participants, including architects from Changwon, Jinju, and other areas in the province, as well as officials from the corporation, attended the signing ceremony.

The corporation stated that it plans to reinforce its field-oriented safety management system by collaborating with local architects in response to the recent increase in construction site accidents.

After the signing ceremony, a training session for architects titled "Construction Safety and Quality Sherpa" was also held. The training covered practical topics, including explanations of laws and regulations, the use of smart safety equipment, and hands-on safety experiences utilizing virtual reality (VR), all designed for immediate application in the field.

Participants evaluated the session positively, noting that seeing and experiencing equipment that can be used directly on-site was genuinely helpful.

Hwang Insang, head of the Yeongnam Regional Headquarters of the corporation, stated, "We will continue to cooperate with the local community to establish a culture of safety at construction sites."
