On April 26, Ewha Womans University announced that Cutler will give a lecture titled "Korea-U.S. Economic Relations: Opportunities for Cooperation" at 3:30 p.m. on April 30 at the Lee Sambong Hall in the ECC building on campus.
Cutler is a top veteran in the field of U.S. diplomacy and trade, having served as the chief U.S. negotiator during the 2006-2007 Korea-U.S. FTA talks, where she led negotiations with then-Korean chief negotiator Kim Jonghoon. She is currently Vice President of the Asia Society Policy Institute, a nonprofit international organization established to promote understanding between the U.S. and Asia.
This event will take the form of a conversation with Ewha Womans University’s visiting professor Sohn Jieae. Through this format, they are expected to discuss the latest trends in trade relations between Korea and the U.S., as well as future opportunities.
Ewha Womans University has continued to host special lectures every year through its partnership with the Pacific Century Institute (PCI), a U.S. nonprofit organization. In 2023, Ewha invited American nuclear physicist Siegfried Hecker, and last year, former U.S. North Korea nuclear envoy Robert Gallucci visited the university.
An official from Ewha Womans University stated, "If former Deputy Representative Cutler provides practical advice and insights on career development to Ewha students at this event, the students will find it highly inspiring."
