Applications accepted until May 14
Support includes rent and promotional expenses
Muju County in North Jeolla Province is accepting applications for participants in the '2025 Culture and Tourism Startup Support Project' until May 14.
According to the county on April 25, this project provides support not only for interior design costs necessary for starting a business, but also for material costs, rent, promotional expenses, customized consulting, network building, and recruitment and job placement connections.
Eligible applicants are prospective entrepreneurs who reside in North Jeolla Province and meet the requirements to start a business within Muju County.
The county will offer 60 hours of startup and specialized training to these participants. Those who complete more than 90% of the course will be eligible to participate in a startup competition. Up to seven finalists will each receive up to 12 million won in startup funding. Applications and related documents can be submitted in person at the Muju County Local JOB Center or the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Jeonju Kijeon College, or via email.
Choi Aekyung, head of the county’s employment team, said, "We expect this initiative to help prevent the outflow of young people living in the region and to increase the local resident population. We will do our best to ensure that the innovative and promising business ideas and passion of prospective entrepreneurs become a strong driving force to revitalize Muju, which is facing the risk of regional extinction."
