Sangju Chapter of Korean Women Farmers Association Donates 2 Million Won for Gyeongbuk Wildfire Relief

Sincere Contributions Gathered by Members
Hoping This Small Gesture Brings Warm Comfort

The Sangju Chapter of the Korean Women Farmers Association has joined in a warm act of sharing to support recovery efforts following wildfire damage in the Gyeongbuk region.

Sangju Chapter of Korean Women Farmers Association Donates 2 Million Won for Gyeongbuk Wildfire Relief Gyeongbuk Sangju City Hall

On April 24, Sangju City and the Sangju Chapter of the Korean Women Farmers Association delivered a special donation of 2 million won to residents affected by wildfires in Gyeongbuk, during a ceremony held at the Citizens’ Room in Sangju City Hall.


This donation was voluntarily collected by members of the Sangju Chapter to help residents who have lost their homes due to a series of recent wildfires.


Kim Suknyeo, president of the association, said, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope it will be a source of strength for the affected residents," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as an organization that works together with the local community."


Kang Youngseok, mayor of Sangju, stated, "I am deeply grateful for the warm hearts of the women farmers who are thinking of their neighbors during these difficult times," and added, "The donation will be used carefully for recovery efforts and to support the residents."


Meanwhile, the Sangju Chapter of the Korean Women Farmers Association is an organization with about 200 women farmers actively participating. The association is leading efforts to modernize agricultural technology and improve rural welfare. In addition to fostering exchanges among members, it continues to carry out a variety of activities aimed at community development and advancing the rights of women farmers.
