Gyeongbuk Content Agency Signs Support Project Agreements with 17 Content Companies

15 Projects Selected for Advancement, Renewal, and Market Development
Technology Partnership MOU Signed Among Resident Companies

On April 24, the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation Content Agency announced that it had signed agreements with 17 companies that were finally selected for the "Gyeongbuk Content Company Support Center Project," which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of content companies in Gyeongbuk. The agency has now begun providing full-scale support.


The signing ceremonies were held twice at the Gyeongbuk Content Company Support Center, on April 16 and April 23.

This year’s support project consists of three areas: support for content company advancement, support for content shop renewal, and support for domestic and overseas market development. Out of 46 proposals submitted, 15 projects with strong planning and growth potential were ultimately selected.


The first signing ceremony on April 16 was attended by three companies selected for the advancement support program?Kwon Kyungjun, CEO of Joylab; Choi Hajung, CEO of Design Group Anne; and Kwon Odook, CEO of Happysketch Co., Ltd.?as well as two projects (from four companies) selected for the content shop renewal support program.


During the event, support funds were delivered, project guidelines were introduced, and accounting training was provided. There was also time for networking and collecting feedback among the participating companies.


At the same event, Design Group Anne, a resident company, and local company UB Co., Ltd., represented by Yoo Changuk, signed a technology partnership MOU to support the domestic and overseas market entry of the character "Porangi," drawing attention from attendees.


The second signing ceremony on April 23 saw agreements signed with six companies selected for the domestic market development support program?Kim Bokyung, CEO of Lazylady; Kim Yongjun, CEO of Toomaru Co., Ltd.; Kang Heewon, CEO of Saramgwa Chorok Co., Ltd.; Bae Jonghee, CEO of Metaedusys Co., Ltd.; Lee Gunwoo, CEO of Carrotpunt Co., Ltd.; and Kim Kyunghoon, CEO of Wbstudio?as well as four companies selected for the overseas market development support program.


The content shop renewal support program is a project that redefines the branding of local stores through collaboration between local small business owners and content companies. Two projects will be carried out with support of 40 million KRW each in Seongju and Mungyeong: one led by Jwa Mingi, CEO of Sharelife, and Park Bosoon, CEO of Infotory Co., Ltd.; and another by Do Wonwoo, CEO of Replace Co., Ltd., and Park Hyunhee, CEO of Gachisalja Cooperative.


An agency official stated, "We expect this support project will provide substantial help in accelerating commercialization and establishing a sustainable growth foundation for content companies in the province."
