Wisebirds Strengthens Domestic Readiness in Line with Meta's 'Threads' Expansion

Digital advertising agency Wisebirds announced on April 24 that it is establishing a rapid response system in line with Meta's official global rollout of advertising products for its social media platform 'Threads' to all businesses worldwide.

On April 23 (local time), Meta officially launched Threads ads in select markets, including the United States and Japan. Meta stated that it plans to expand to additional countries following continuous testing and learning. Threads has surpassed 320 million monthly active users just 21 months after its launch, rapidly growing into a global discussion platform.


Wisebirds is led by CEO Choi Hojun, who has spearheaded various digital advertising businesses at Meta, Naver, and Yahoo Korea, and Director Kang Beomseok, formerly of Meta and Kakao. The company offers differentiated advertising strategies based on deep understanding and hands-on experience with Meta platforms.


Choi Hojun, CEO of Wisebirds, stated, "We are fully prepared to proactively respond to the domestic introduction of the Threads platform." He added, "In Korea, the user base with high activity on Threads is strengthening compared to other countries. If advertisers run campaigns early after Threads ads are introduced, competition will be low, so we expect high efficiency. For this reason, we plan to actively recommend it to our clients."


In fact, before Instagram ads were officially launched in Korea in 2015, a limited beta test with select advertisers also achieved high efficiency in the early stages. The 'Adidas' campaign, which utilized Instagram's new targeting features at that time, achieved significant results and was listed as an official Meta success story.


Wisebirds has already been recognized for top-tier competitiveness in performance marketing and retail media, based on partnerships with major global media companies such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Naver, and Kakao. In particular, the company has proven its optimization capabilities for Meta platforms by winning the 'Meta Agency First Awards' for six consecutive years.
