Opening of Specialized Aviation Maintenance Technician Training Center Aligned with the Launch of Gadeok New Airport

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will hold the opening ceremony for the Busan Aviation High School Aviation Technology Education Center at 2:00 p.m. on April 25 at Busan Aviation High School, located in Sasang-gu. The event commemorates the launch of a specialized aviation maintenance technician training institution officially authorized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

This event celebrates the official accreditation received on March 11 from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as a specialized aviation maintenance technician training institution. It will provide an overview of the human and physical infrastructure established for the Aviation Technology Education Center and mark its opening. Attendees will include the superintendent, members of the Busan Metropolitan Council, Sasang-gu Office, local universities, and representatives from regional companies.

The ceremony will proceed with the unveiling of the Aviation Technology Education Center plaque, a presentation on the center's operational plans, and a facility tour. In particular, the tour program will showcase the actual training environment and advanced equipment at the Aviation Technology Education Center, which is expected to draw significant interest from attendees.

The Busan Aviation High School Aviation Technology Education Center provides specialized training aimed at obtaining aviation maintenance technician qualifications, utilizing the latest training equipment and a field-oriented curriculum.

Students will be able to systematically acquire the specialized competencies required for aviation maintenance within the school's curriculum. This is expected to play a practical role in meeting the demand for skilled professionals in the regional aviation industry.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "The Busan Aviation High School Aviation Technology Education Center will be the starting point for future leaders of the aviation industry to prepare for their first flight," and added, "I hope it will become a model case of future-oriented technical education that grows together with the local community."

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education expects that this opening ceremony will serve as an opportunity to showcase new possibilities for vocational high schools and to present a direction for industry-demand-tailored education.
