Inspection of Agricultural Product Distribution Center and Food Integrated Support Center

Baek Samjong, Deputy Governor of Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province, visited key sites related to agricultural product distribution to inspect the progress of major projects, listen to on-site challenges, and strengthen field administration.

According to Hamyang County on April 24, Deputy Governor Baek first visited the Agricultural Product Distribution Center in Jigok-myeon to check the progress of the project, which is scheduled for completion in May, as well as the status of safety management. He then reviewed the planned site for the Hamyang County Food Integrated Support Center in line with the center's construction plan, and urged that the project be completed on schedule without any setbacks.

In addition, he visited the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office and the Local Food Store in sequence, listened to the difficulties faced on site, and requested that efforts be made to minimize inconvenience for users and farmers renting agricultural machinery to ensure smooth operation.

The Agricultural Product Distribution Center in Jigok-myeon began construction in March 2023 and is set to hold its completion ceremony in May. The Food Integrated Support Center is the first project in South Gyeongsang Province to be selected for the 'Food Plan APC Construction' public contest. The project aims to secure land this year and complete construction by 2026.

Deputy Governor Baek Samjong stated, "Since the Agricultural Product Distribution Center and the Food Integrated Support Center are core projects to strengthen the competitiveness of local agricultural distribution, please do your best from start to finish." He added, "As the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office and Local Food Store are facilities directly used by farmers and visitors, I ask for proactive operation to help increase farm income."
