Governor Koo: "Congratulations and Encouragement
to Newly Appointed Regular Civil Servants
on Completing Their Probationary Period"
Geochang County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on April 24 that it held the "Rookie Public Officials Communication and Empathy Talk Concert" at the county office's main conference room, attended by County Governor Koo Inmo and newly appointed public officials.
The talk concert was organized to celebrate 43 newly appointed public officials who became regular civil servants after completing a six-month probationary period in the second half of 2024. It also aimed to directly listen to their challenges and support their adaptation to public service life.
The event included a video presentation featuring the new officials' resolutions for their public service careers, the awarding of congratulatory messages for completing the probationary period, and the communication and empathy talk concert.
In particular, in a relaxed atmosphere, the rookie public officials shared their impressions of public service, personal questions, and work-related difficulties. They also participated in a meaningful communication and empathy talk concert, engaging in conversation and receiving encouragement and advice from County Governor Koo Inmo, a senior in public service.
Afterward, during a luncheon with boxed meals, participants celebrated the completion of the probationary period with words of encouragement and listened to the new officials' thoughts and visions, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
One rookie official who participated in the event said, "I really enjoyed being able to speak freely with the county governor today," adding, "I will continue to do my best in public administration for the residents, never losing my original intention and always acting with a sense of responsibility."
Governor Koo Inmo said, "I sincerely congratulate the new public officials on completing their probationary period as Geochang County civil servants and support their future careers in public service," and added, "I hope you never forget your current mindset and become public officials who work for the development of Geochang County and the happiness of its residents."
Meanwhile, Geochang County continues to listen to the voices of new public officials by operating various welfare programs such as implementing leave of absence for junior officials, supporting cultural and sports activity expenses for staff, and providing personalized counseling, all to help new officials adapt smoothly to public service life.
