Recruiting New Members for Guro District Cooperative Governance Council: Policies Made Together with Residents

Guro District (District Mayor Jang Inhong) will be recruiting members for the "4th Guro District Cooperative Governance Council" from April 25 to May 9.

The Guro District Cooperative Governance Council is a public-private partnership body in which citizens and the district administration collaborate to discuss and resolve local issues. Members of the council participate in the entire process of formulating and implementing cooperative governance policies.

The district expects that the council will provide opportunities for residents with diverse backgrounds and expertise to directly participate in district administration, and that this will lead to tangible changes in the local community.

The number of members to be recruited this time is approximately 28, including those who are reappointed from the previous council.

Eligible applicants are those who reside, work, or study in Guro District. Qualifications include: experts with extensive knowledge and experience in public-private cooperation; individuals with the intention and plan to participate in cooperative governance activities; and nominees recommended by organizations engaged in public interest activities.

The term of office is two years, from June 14, 2025 to June 13, 2027, and members may be reappointed once.

Those wishing to participate may visit the Planning and Budget Division office at the district office or submit an application form (including consent for the collection and use of personal information) via email. Only applications received by 6:00 p.m. on the deadline of May 9 will be accepted, and in-person submissions are only possible during office hours.

The application form can be downloaded from the "Notices and Announcements" section within the "Guro Information" menu on the Guro District Office website. For more details, please contact the Cooperative Policy Team of the Planning and Budget Division at the district office.

Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, stated, "The Cooperative Governance Council is an important institution as it allows us to discuss local issues together and seek solutions," adding, "We hope for active interest and participation to realize a district administration created jointly by citizens and the district government."
