Andong City and World-OKTA to Jointly Host Overseas Employment Information Session

Andong City, North Gyeongsang Province, in collaboration with the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World-OKTA), will host an overseas employment information session for university students in the province during the '26th World Leaders Convention and 2025 KOREA BUSINESS EXPO ANDONG.'

This session is focused on providing practical information to reflect young people's interest in overseas employment and to strengthen their job-seeking capabilities.

The information session will take place on the second day of the event, April 29, starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Andong International Convention Center. Key components include an introduction to the 'Global Employment Support Program' and one-on-one consulting for overseas employment.

This program is operated by the World-OKTA, which was designated as the implementing agency by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Selected young participants will receive support such as internship allowances, long-term stay insurance, visa issuance fees, and online pre-training.

Andong City plans to encourage active participation in this session by working together with universities in the province.

A city official stated, "Recently, there has been a significant increase in young people's interest in and demand for overseas employment," adding, "We expect that this overseas employment information session will provide young people with the information they need and expand opportunities for overseas employment."

This event is expected to present a concrete vision for overseas employment to young people and serve as an important opportunity to provide practical assistance.
