Gwanak District Installs Media Boards in Convenience Stores to Share District News

Gwanak District (District Mayor Park Junhee) has expanded its public relations channels this year by utilizing media boards installed in local convenience stores, aiming to provide residents with easier and faster access to district administration information.

The purpose is to enable residents to conveniently and easily access useful information such as district news, event announcements, and disaster response guidelines right in front of their homes, through media boards installed in convenience stores, which serve as everyday life platforms.

Since January, the district has been providing residents with a variety of useful information at 46 CU and GS25 convenience stores in the area, including the 4th Gwanak Starlight Walk, the Gwanak Love Gift Certificate Payback Event, and promotions for the Starlight Sinsari Commercial District.

In particular, the district plans to focus on delivering promotional content targeting the younger generation, who are the main customer base of convenience stores, in line with the area's distinction of having the largest youth population nationwide and its designation as a youth-friendly city.

Since April, promotional content featuring information about the operation of the 'Gwanak Youth Busking' program has been broadcasted.

The district expects that promoting district administration through convenience store media boards will make it easier for residents to access district information in their daily lives, while also increasing their interest in district affairs.

Previously, the district actively promoted its administration by utilizing media boards installed in apartment elevators, providing information such as the opening of summer water playgrounds, the ecological restoration of Byeolbitnaerincheon Stream, and autumn tourism guides for Gwanak District. The district has also provided disaster and safety information, including heatwave response guidelines and notices related to electric vehicle fires.

Starting this year, the district plans to further strengthen its community-focused public relations by more actively utilizing media boards in both convenience stores and apartment complexes throughout Gwanak District.

Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, stated, "With media board promotions, everyone can more easily access a wider variety of useful information in their daily lives, which is expected to naturally increase residents' interest and participation in district affairs. Going forward, we will continue to diversify our public relations channels and create more opportunities to communicate with residents."
