IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced that, as part of its field-oriented management initiative, it held an on-site meeting for small and medium enterprises on April 23 at the Anyang Gwacheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inviting 24 representatives of SMEs based in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.

The SME representatives who attended the meeting shared a variety of opinions, including the difficulties their businesses are facing due to the economic downturn, and the need for financial support to address both internal and external uncertainties such as U.S. tariff policies.

Kim Sungtae, President of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, stated, "It was a meaningful opportunity to directly hear diverse opinions from the field, ranging from traditional manufacturing companies that have driven economic growth to software and semiconductor companies that will lead future industries." He added, "We have set supporting SMEs in overcoming crises as our top priority, and will actively expand both financial and non-financial support. At the same time, we will do our utmost to support export companies and foster startups."

Meanwhile, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea has set its SME loan supply target for this year at 64 trillion won, an increase of 4 trillion won compared to the previous year, to support SMEs struggling with business difficulties due to the economic slowdown and high exchange rates. In February this year, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea became the first in the financial sector to reach a balance of 250 trillion won in SME loans.
