Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (County Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on the 23rd that it will implement the "2025 Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project," which provides financial support for language and certification exam fees required for employment to unemployed youth residing in the county. This project was established to alleviate the financial burden of job preparation costs for young people in an era of high inflation and to provide equal employment opportunities.

Eligible applicants are youth aged 18 to 39 who reside in Yangpyeong County as of the application date and are unemployed as of the exam date, specifically those born between 1985 and 2007.
The support includes reimbursement of language and certification exam fees up to a maximum of 300,000 won per person per year. The supported exams include 19 types of language tests such as TOEIC, 540 types of national technical certifications, 347 types of national professional certifications, and 97 types of nationally accredited private certifications.
Applicants can apply online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system, "Jobaba Apply," from May 2 to November 30. Only exams taken between December 2024 and November 2025 are eligible for support. The subsidies will be provided sequentially from May to December 2025 after document supplementation and verification.
Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County, stated, "Through the support for language and certification exam fees for unemployed youth in Yangpyeong County, I hope that young people will be able to reduce the actual costs of job preparation and prepare for their careers more proactively."
