CrowdWorks to Respond Legally... Civil Lawsuit Follows Three Labor Commission Dismissals

CrowdWorks announced on April 23 that the wage-related lawsuit had already been reviewed by the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission and the Central Labor Relations Commission from last year until January of this year, with relief requests being dismissed.

A representative of CrowdWorks explained, "The plaintiff is continuing with a civil lawsuit because they believe the Labor Commission's decision to dismiss the case was unjust," adding, "We will respond according to proper procedures and legal standards."

In April of last year, the company accepted the initial recommendations of the Labor Commission as a goodwill gesture and paid the plaintiff the wage-related amount. The plaintiff then filed an additional relief request with the Labor Commission, and when it was dismissed, proceeded with a civil lawsuit. The company expects that, since the case was dismissed three times by the Labor Commission, the civil court will likely reach a similar conclusion.
