On the afternoon of the same day, CEO Bang Bongje delivered a donation of 10 million KRW to President Sanghoon Bae in the reception room on the third floor of the university headquarters, asking for it to be used for the development of his alma mater.
CEO Bang Bongje, who entered the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Pukyong University in 1968, founded Jewang Turbotec, a company specializing in industrial blowers, and has grown it into a strong small-to-medium-sized enterprise. He is also actively engaged in social contribution activities, including donations to help neighbors and contributions to the development fund of his alma mater.
CEO Bang Bongje said, "I decided to make this donation because I wanted to contribute, even in a small way, to the further development of my alma mater, which has a tradition of over 100 years." He added, "I hope that my juniors will grow into talents who lead the rapidly advancing science and technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and that this will help them play active roles in our society, country, and the world."
National Pukyong University plans to use this development fund for the advancement of the university, including education and research support for fostering outstanding talents and the improvement of the educational environment.
