"A cherished memory for the protagonists of our future"
Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on April 22 that it will host the 27th SH Children's Drawing Contest at Seoul Children's Grand Park.
This year's contest will take place on the Open Stage at Children's Grand Park on May 10, with participants accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The SH Children's Drawing Contest is part of SH Corporation's social contribution activities, designed to foster children's imagination and create lasting memories.
The contest is open to children residing in Seoul who are between the ages of 5 (born in 2021) and 13 (born in 2013). Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 2:00 p.m. on April 22 until 2:00 p.m. on May 1. Registration may close early once the total of 200 participants is reached.
On the day of the contest, experience programs will also be available for any child to participate in, regardless of whether they registered in advance.
On the day of the event, SH Corporation will convene a panel of art experts to judge the submitted works and select a total of 45 outstanding entries. Winners will receive certificates and department store gift certificates as follows: three Grand Prize winners will receive 500,000 KRW each, six Excellence Prize winners will receive 300,000 KRW each, six Merit Prize winners will receive 100,000 KRW each, ten Encouragement Prize winners will receive 50,000 KRW each, and twenty Honorable Mention winners will receive 30,000 KRW each. Winners will also receive a mug set featuring their own artwork.
Woori Bank, which has supported the contest since 2018, will once again collaborate this year by assisting with contest operations, providing gift certificates, prizes, and commemorative items.
Hwang Sangha, President of SH Corporation, said, "I hope the Children's Drawing Contest will remain a special and cherished memory for the children, who are the protagonists of our future."
