An 'Integrated Operation School' is a type of school that operates two or more school levels within a single institution. By linking curricula and sharing resources between school levels, it enhances the continuity and efficiency of education. As of 2025, there are a total of 28 such schools operated by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.

This training brings together approximately 80 school managers from integrated operation schools to share their concerns and challenges in school management and to seek solutions collaboratively. It is also designed to deepen understanding of school management and to foster mutual growth based on a cooperative system.

In particular, the training program was developed based on the policy linkage and cooperation between the Department of Educational Capacity and the Department of School Education Policy of the provincial office, as well as feedback from the school field.

The main topics of the training include: sharing best practices in integrated operation school management; strategies for fostering a collaborative organizational culture; and building networks to support schools in the field.

Lee Junghyun, Director of the Department of Educational Capacity at the provincial office, stated, "Integrated operation schools can become a new model for future schools, enabling creative classes and individualized education for students." He added, "Going forward, we will focus on strengthening curricula and teacher competencies to support student growth throughout the six years of elementary and three years of middle school, beyond just the physical integration of elementary and middle schools."

Meanwhile, the provincial office plans to launch a training program for teachers in integrated operation schools in the second half of this year. In addition, it will hold the '2025 Integrated Operation School Policy Forum' in November.
