Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Chulwon) officially finalized and announced the slogan, goals, and five major policy areas that embody the new direction of the '8th term of local government' on April 22.
The finalized county government vision is based on Damyang County's administrative philosophy and presents the core values and aspirations that will serve as the foundation for all future policy initiatives.
The county government slogan, "A Vibrant Future, Greater Damyang," reflects a dynamic driving force and a future-oriented vision that will lead Damyang's leap forward and growth. The county government goal, "Building Damyang, a Vibrant City Full of Opportunities," demonstrates a strong commitment to maximizing the region's potential and to creating a city where all residents can enjoy real opportunities in various aspects of their lives.
To realize this vision, the county has established five major policy guidelines: ▲Tourism and Culture: Attractive Cultural Tourism ▲Health, Welfare, and Education: Comprehensive and Inspiring Welfare ▲Agriculture and Rural Areas: Prosperous and Livable Farming Villages ▲Economy and Settlement: Vibrant and Dynamic Economy ▲Administration and Communication: Trusted and Empathetic Administration.
The slogan, goals, and policy guidelines proposed by the county were finalized through a deliberative process that included two strategic meetings, an anonymous survey of all employees (with 688 participants), and a review by the County Government Coordination Committee.
Mayor Jung Chulwon emphasized, "Damyang is now fully prepared to create a vibrant future together with its residents," and added, "We will steadily implement Damyang-style policies that bring about tangible changes close to the daily lives of our citizens."
